  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup dry white apple vinegar or chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons capers, rinsed and drained
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a medium skillet over medium heat, combine 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter and 2 tablespoons of olive oil until melted.
  2. Add 2 minced garlic cloves and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Pour in 1/4 cup of dry white apple vinegar or chicken broth; simmer for 2–3 minutes to reduce slightly.
  4. Stir in 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, 2 tablespoons of rinsed capers, and 1 teaspoon of lemon zest. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Remove from heat and mix in chopped parsley if desired.
  6. Serve warm over your favorite fish, chicken, pasta, or vegetables.
