  • 2 lbs sweet apples (Gala, Fuji, or McIntosh)
  • 10 cups water
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 4 inches fresh ginger
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 tsp black peppercorns

Instructions

  1. Wash and quarter the apples without peeling.
  2. In an Instant Pot, combine apples, sliced ginger, brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, black peppercorns, and water. Cook on high pressure for 18 minutes. For stovetop method, bring to a boil in a pot then simmer for about 30 minutes until apples are soft.
  3. Strain the mixture into a pitcher using a fine mesh sieve to catch solids.
  4. Allow the tea to cool before sealing in a container.
  5. Serve hot or chilled and enjoy every sip!
